3.  Why We Use Your Data and Our Legal Basis

Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful reason for using your personal data. Here is why we use each type of data and the legal basis we rely on:

Responding to your contact form enquiry

We use your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your enquiry. Our legal basis is legitimate interests — you chose to contact us and we have a legitimate business interest in responding.

Essential website functionality

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the website work correctly. These do not require your consent under UK GDPR as they are essential for the site to function.

Analytics and optional features (e.g. Google Maps)

We only place analytics cookies and load optional features such as Google Maps after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. Our legal basis for this processing is your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie settings icon on our website.

4.  Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. We use a cookie consent banner (provided by Usercentrics) to ask for your permission before placing any non-essential cookies.

Essential cookies (no consent required)

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off:

•       Wix CMS — core website platform functionality

•       Usercentrics — manages your cookie consent preferences

Functional cookies (require your consent)

These cookies are only placed after you give your consent:

•       Google Maps — enables the map feature on our website. Google LLC may collect your IP address and location data when you interact with the map.

To change your cookie preferences, click the shield icon at the bottom left of our website.

5.  Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We only share your data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our website. These are:

•       Wix.com Ltd — our website hosting platform. Wix stores website content and contact form submissions on our behalf. Data may be processed in the EU and USA. Privacy policy: wix.com/about/privacy

•       Google LLC — provides Google Maps functionality on our website. Google may process your IP address and location data if you consent to functional cookies. Data may be processed in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

•       Usercentrics GmbH — provides our cookie consent management banner. Stores records of your cookie consent preferences. Data is processed in the EU. Privacy policy: usercentrics.com/privacy-policy

We may also share your data with law enforcement or regulatory bodies such as the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if we are required to do so by law.

6.  How Long We Keep Your Data

•       Contact form submissions (name, email, message): kept for 2 years from the date of submission so we can follow up on business enquiries, then securely deleted.

•       Website analytics data: retained for up to 26 months in anonymised form.

•       Cookie consent records: kept for 1 year to demonstrate compliance with our GDPR consent obligations.

After these periods, your data is securely deleted or anonymised.

7.  Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of them, email us at lucia.scotti@m2i2.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.

•       Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

•       Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.

•       Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.

•       Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to pause how we use your data in certain circumstances.

•       Right to object — you can object to us processing your data where we rely on legitimate interests.

•       Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of any processing already carried out.

•       Right to complain — if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

8.  How We Keep Your Data Safe
